The Brady Campaign has created a victory list for people who helped out in the election. Far too often supporters of common sense gun legislation are seen as a "silent majority" and as a result legislators may view our issue as less important. It's time to let our representatives know if they support stopping gun violence we will support them.

The Violence Policy Center has released its annual report on female homicides committed by men. The report titled "When Men Murder Women: An analysis of 2006 homicide data" studies the data and also compares state rates and makes recommendations.

The event: A public forum on gun violence in Wilmington will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the BB&T auditorium of the McKeithan Center at Cape Fear Community College north campus, off Blue Clay Road.
